BLVD BOY is the new album from Travis Thompson and it has been a very enjoyable listen. The album definitely has a more twisted and wicked feel. Thompson approaches the mic with more tenacity and aggression, the final product came out great! I believe Thompson is one of the most underrated rappers in the game right now and he took even more steps with this album. “Bad Luck” is a collaboration with fellow West coast rapper Westside Boogie and is the fourth music video off of BLVD BOY. “Bad Luck” finds Thompson reminiscing about his come up, rapping about how he is the first good thing to happen in his family. The flow switch up in his verse is one not to be played with. The visual shows Thompson beaten up and visually in pain. You also see Thompson testing his luck in roulette. I love the shot where he is laying on the glass and his face his squished. Westside Boogie comes in and takes care of business in the second verse. I love the lighting in the video it makes it even more eerie. Travis Thompson and Westside Boogie made sure that this wasn’t a wasted beat. I did a write up to his first single for the album "Crossfaded" that will be below. Stream BLVD BOY and check out the video for “Bad Luck” below.
