Back with a brand music video for the song "Strawberry Louis Vuitton," which Vic Mensa, Thundercat, and R&B singer Maeta debuted on this past Friday, is heavily influenced by the late Virgil Abloh, who was the creative director of Louis Vuitton's menswear line and a fashion designer in his own right. Vic Mensa sings and raps on "Strawberry Louis Vuitton" over a '70s-inspired music featuring beautiful harmonies by Maeta and a distinctly funky bridge by Thundercat. Tune in to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will feature a performance by Mensa of "Strawberry Louis Vuitton" on Wednesday, February 1. Vic Mensa released a number of singles and an EP last year, Vino Valentino, but this song is his first release of 2023. Over the past few years, Mensa has consistently produced music in a variety of genres, but The Autobiography from 2017 remains his sole legitimate studio album.
