Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa team up for a new released track called "Writing Exercise #3: Wraith" along with a brand new music video made by Chicago director Troy Gueno. The Chicago natives flaunt their lyrical agility and spitfire flow over a jazzy beat provided by Smoko Ono and Beat Butcha in the video. Chance and Vic have spent the last three months collaborating on a number of projects, including an untitled track that they teased in March. Chance the Rapper is making 2022 his finest year yet, thanks to a transformative trip to Accra, Ghana at the start of the year. "Writing Exercise #3" comes after "Writing Exercise #2," in which a revitalized Chance "expresses his most creative self". Chance has released "Child of God," a pioneering single and art experience co-created with Gabonese renowned artist and painter Nala Opiangah. The work, which has received critical acclaim, investigates the relationship between music, cinema, and modern art, rethinking the concept of album art. Chance appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to sing "Child of God," and the work was prominently shown at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art and EXPO CHICAGO. Chance continues to tease his second single, a new song featuring Joey BadA$$, which will be released later this month. In Venice, Italy, and Paris, Chance and Joey were spotted filming for their collaboration.
