Indonesian rapper that goes by the name of Rich Brian made his acting debut in the drama movie "Jamojaya" which followed up by a new visual for the song "Sundance Freestyle," which he published late on Wednesday. A reference to the annual Sundance Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah, where "Jamojaya" had its world debut over the weekend, is made in the song, which is currently stream-able on 88rising and Warner Records. Brian, stars as a young, up-and-coming rapper who wants to hire a manager and a music label from the United States to take over the reins from his father, played by Yayu Unru, who has guided his son’s career as a singer from start to fame. Most of the scenes in Jamojaya are in the Indonesian language. 88rising CEO and Co-Founder, Sean Miyashiro also contributed to the film as an executive producer. When contemplating his career in music and acting, Brian goes a little meta in his most recent song. In the song's music video, Brian, dressed as his "Jamojaya" character, appears on a talk program to discuss the premiere of the movie. The production is interrupted by a diverse cast of individuals throughout the video, including disco dancers and skateboard keyboardists. In the lyrics of the song, Brian boasts about making his cinematic debut: "Getting five bands for a 30-minute show five years ago would have made me ecstatic. Im about to watch my first film, which was also filmed in the islands." Keep up with the young superstar as he continues to make a name for himself through the arts of music and film.
