I have the pleasure to introduce you to one of my new favorite up and coming artists. mohit was born in New Delhi, India and has based his artistry here in the city of Chicago. He most recently came together with a new rap collective called .Mp3! Some of the artists in the group consist of rappers we have covered on Music To My Ears such as Don0rphan, Mugen! The Human, Cldwaterr and much more. I can guarantee that his group will be making waves sooner rather than later. The new ripple of bedroom artists continues with mohit showing the world how DIY his process is. He is a young artist in this game but already has booming streaming numbers across different platforms. It would be difficult to classify this artist into one genre, mohit takes many influences and sounds from his native music/culture and mixes it in with elements of modern hip-hop to create such a refreshing sound. His song writing comes from the instruments he plays. As an avid listener to music, this is such a great thing to hear because I believe music is the accurate expression of life and mohit helps prove my point. I was blessed enough to actually see mohit perform this song last week and he absolutely rocked the mic. “The One” is mohit reminding himself of his self worth and that at the end of the day that he is just a man. This track is so powerful, the climax to the hook where mohit delivers an irresistible vocal performance with distorted and mellow vocals is fantastic. As humans, sometimes we just need to sit back and listen and I’m telling you that “The One” will be engraved into your brain for the coming weeks. mohit is prepping for a big 2022, make sure you get in tune with him.
