Mick Jenkins, a Chicago native who has really attracted listeners from all over the world over the last decade and a half, continues to convey his message in his new music video called "Smoke Break-Dance" starring JID, With his remarkable lyrical talent and word play in which he also announces his newest album called "The Patience". The Patience is a follow-up to his 2021 album "Elephant In The Room", that is scheduled to release on August 18th. Mick Jenkins and JID both deliver nice vocal performances on the new track, which has a jazzy beat that has been heavily distorted. The addition of a remark by late social problem author Bell Hooks in the middle of the film demonstrates the significance of this imagery: "The first act of violence that patriarchy demands of males is not aggression toward women. Instead, patriarchy forces all males to commit acts of psychic self-mutilation and to eliminate their emotional identities.
Jenkins stated that : "As best as I can be, I am a person who does everything in his power to change his circumstance" on the new song. I believe that conduct eventually brings you to a situation where you have to wait if it is practiced consistently. A turning moment where you can no longer control the events that must now take place to advance you. I see this as a point in one's trip, regardless of its duration, where the unseen things must happen; the muscles must be torn and repaired, and the knowledge of a notion comes to you suddenly and without any consideration of creative meaning.
