KiD CuDi - Mr. Solo Dolo III [Official Music Video]

I wish Kid Cudi was aware of the impact he has had on me. I love how he always made it okay not to be okay, especially in a genre and generation where you always need to puff out your chest. His music has always been an escape and he was one of the artists who really pushed the boundaries in the late 2000s. This article is full circle for me, I used to write reviews to random Kid Cudi songs in a notebook. Now, I’m writing about one of my favorite artists and sharing it with y’all. Kid Cudi made his way back into the limelight last December when he dropped his highly anticipated Man On The Moon III: The Chosen (MOTM III). The album was a beautiful mix of trap music and psychedelics. I thoroughly enjoyed MOTM III. Cudi sounds like he hasn’t lost a step throughout the entire album, and “Mr. Solo Dolo III” was one of the songs that I was most excited to hear. Throughout this song series, Cudi has rapped and sang about how his isolation has caused bumps in his life. Being solo dolo means that you’re content with being alone, and in this video Cudi reminds us that he is not really alone. He has weed! Yes, the entire visual is Cudi smoking in various places. It looks like there are some shots from the MOTM III studio sessions, I seen Trippie Redd in one of the shots. There is a shot that shows Cudi’s late dog Freshie. There is even a shot where Cudi sees a car crash and gets right back to smoking. Nonetheless, still an entertaining video and it is always great to see Cudder’s face.
