
Jamiel Foster, a reggae singer and composer, was born in Portmore, Jamaica, in 1992. He was drawn to music as a child, singing and creating original songs by the age of 12, and planning a full-time career in music by his adolescence. He began performing under the name Culture Jamiel, but as his musical style matured, he changed his stage name to just Jahmiel. Jahmiel's first breakthrough tune, "Long Distance Love," was released in 2014 and featured a very pop blend of reggae and dancehall elements. More popular singles followed over the next several years, including the critically praised "Gain the World" in 2015, "Years to Come" in 2016, and "Strongest Soldier" in 2017. Jahmiel continues to travel globally in support of these tracks. In support of these tracks, Jahmiel traveled abroad and continued to work on new music as his fan base increased. Jahmiel returns by kicking off the new year with a new visual for his new single "Third Eye" out now.
