icyybands is a rising artist from the city of Chicago. Being so fresh in the game only at the age of 22, icyybands has all the potential in the world to make some noise in the city. icyybands has an undeniable charisma, his flows and cadences could be compared to rappers like Valee and Lil Yachty. The young rapper has been hard at work ever since coming onto the map, icyybands has released two projects and also has his own clothing brand called Sadity. Not to mention, icyybands is prepping to release another album titled Ladiesluvicyy this year.
“DESTINY” finds icyybands skating gracefully over the beat produced by Hoosier Dad. icyybands technicality is at full strength on “DESTINY” and he doesn’t waste a breath on this instrumental. icyybands comes with an undeniable amount of punchlines and swagger that is bound to make you bop your head.
The music video was directed by Blue Butterflies. The visual follows icyybands around Chicago while he dances in front of restaurants and even in the snow. The quality is pristine and the energy of the visual matches the tempo of the track. With many entertaining and psychedelic edits, I suggest that you don’t take your eyes off the screen for a moment while watching the “DESTINY” music video. My favorite shot has to be one of the rearview mirror shots, those always get me. "DESTINY" is the first single from icyybands' project Ladiesluvicyy and it has me real pumped for his release.
