I have the pleasure to introduce y’all to determined Chicago producer and rapper Gold Haze. I would classify Gold Haze as a young vet in this rambunctious city. He has been producing for almost 10 years now and more recently started rapping 4 years ago. On his social media’s, Gold Haze records himself making beats in his room and a few of the videos have gone viral. Gold Haze stayed focused and hungry during the pandemic and really took the time to figure out what kind of sound he wanted to share. Gold Haze been grinding this year, he dropped a flavor-full and terrific project titled From Here On Out back in February. I highly recommend checking it out, I hear ties from artists like Kanye, Timbaland, and Lupe Fiasco. He also dropped a collab EP with fellow Chicago rapper & basketball podcast host PeeweeDaPlug which is also tremendous. Gold Haze blesses us with his new visual for his fire track “Don’t Hit My Phone” which is the second track on the project. This is definitely one of my favorite tracks off the album, “Don’t Hit My Phone” is Gold Haze’s F-U to all the people who are trying to come back into his life after peeping his new money. Gold Haze glides over a smooth instrumental and wraps both his verses up with addicting hooks. He addresses the manipulative people who tried to prey on his downfall. This high energy track is accompanied with a high energy and beautiful visual. The video is filled with many cuts and edits that distort Gold Haze and the video. I’m a fan of Gold Haze because of the positivity he puts out into the world, both from inside and outside the studio. Gold Haze is apart of a collective called RichVi$ion, y’all need to keep tabs on what they got going on.
