Making his MusicToMyEars blog debut, I have the pleasure of introducing you all to this amazing Indian-American artist from Fort worth Texas that goes by the name of "Dunnu". The Texas native has been gearing up for this new chapter of his life which is perusing his musical passion and incorporating his culture through his music. The new visual "Loot" is commonly referenced alongside money or ideas relating to wealth such as jewelry etc. Dunnu wanted to change the narrative on what "Loot" means or "SHOULD" mean to people and the "Youth" especially throughout the video, you see Dunnu going to various business meetings with the briefcase being shown but never shown what's actually inside the briefcase the entire time. In the briefcase there were "Books" which represent knowledge in this concept "The REAL Loot", is knowledge and that's the message behind the video in which Dunnu says that:
" Certain bars such as; "We goin' to make it out. Homie no doubts. My people know routes. Running on droughts. Smart like house."
All represent how it's not always about how much money you have but what knowledge you have to get yourself out of your situation. Dunnu further breaks down typical behaviours in underprivileged communities through lines such as; "Money on fan. I don't need pan." These lines represent money is being "fanned" or blown over to other friends, partners, and invested in his direct community and him not needing a pan to "cook" narcotics in order to make money but will use his knowledge to figure it out. Keep up with the Texas artist as he continues to grind hard and create new music for all his fans that will one day spread all over the world.
