BBY GOYARD is an artist heralding out of North Carolina but based in Maryland, he thrives over menacing and disturbingly loud beats. He has stamped his foot in the mud in his short time making music, he has been actively releasing music since 2019. I don’t want to declare his style as one specific thing, but the best way I can explain it is vocal inflections & auto-tune of Hyper Pop with Hip-Hop instrumentals. I would even say he has nostalgic Dance influences in his music. I don’t even remember how I discovered him specifically, but he has a song called “Run Shannon Run” which I heard on social media and it instantly caught my attention. BBY GOYARD is always coming with energy and The Secret Lies With Charlotte 2 is his best execution. He has entered into a stratosphere of his own when it comes to the blending of these genres. The 15 track project is mixed with speaker blowing bangers that are ready for mosh pits. While also adding psychedelic, dream-like jams. BBY GOYARD is able to create so many dynamic sounds within one song alone but a whole album is a rollercoaster. He is one of the few innovators I hear in Rap game right now. Some of my favorite tracks off of the album are “I’m So Me”, “Summoner” and “Shannon’s Ladder”. If you are looking for a complete change of pace, I highly recommend BBY GOYARD.
